I've painted 27 quick skins. 13 plain with roundels and 14 of the same colour but with a simple stripe and roundels.

These are available for download but in GTL format .
If you want them in GTR2 you will need to change the .Car file Classes="___" to suit GTR2.

No, mate..it's something to do with CarTools. I'm getting no car menu, just a bunch of 'something's not right!' messages that means i can load up if i bypass CarTools but can't control or load any cars other than the last ones that were there when it crapped out. I managed to get GTR2 going with a 2nd CarTools install, so there's def.something nasty in the GTL woodshed. Tried Pm'ing Nappe1, who created the mod, but no response, thus far..sob . But great Jags, mate..well done!

Did you know you can install more than one GTL on the same hard drive??? I've had up to 6 of them before!!!!

All you need to do is when installing the game it asks what drive/folder you want it in so make a new folder called GTL-2 or whatever as long as the name is original and ask the game to install there... that's all you need do and you can copy your UserData over to.

NOTE.
If you are still using the GTL disc with starforce protection don't forget to install the 1.1 update. Once all that's done you can just copy the tracks and cars over from your other GTL install but don't forget the Sound folder and all the other bits that the mods need from various folders.

If you want to do away with Starforce protection which is a pain then here's a link to a digital copy of GTL that works online also and already has the 1.1 update in with it. Just follow the instructions with the download and make as many GTL as you wanna do!

Thanks, Gee. I'm running a 1.1 digi d/l so my prob isn't starforce. It seems a bit daunting reloading all tracks & cars i've gathered together but i may have to try that second install you mentioned. I have thought of trying Strava's GTL Cars mod,  or the Taz GTL Xcars, to see if that'll do it, but i'd really like to stick with CarTools if i can find a fix. Meantime, thanks for your interest in trying to help get me back on track. I'm away from the pc for a month or so..in the interim, i'm trusting 'Nappe' to pick up my pm over at No Grip and offer up a magic solution. All the best, mate..Les.

Question:- Will he have any hair left wondering what has been going on while he's away!!! He may already be bald like one of his cups with a small dome on top, he he!!

Sadly not a hol. But you are correct only in respect of the UNDISGUISED FACT that in ones joint stiffening years one has grown significantly taller than ones hair..it's all there, mate..internally warming the ol'brain box!

Problem... Any ideas???

Alain62 has pointed out to me that the striped skins I painted only show for the person driving it and the rest of the cars are plain!

Unfortunately the same happens to me and I really don't know why!! The only difference between cars is the skin colour and the numbers and they all check out correct!

I cut all of the plain skins from the GTL install so only raced the striped ones and no problems, so it's got me wondering what it can be. I even renamed the names in the Garage="" and Team="" to see if that had any bearing.

Whatever it is it's bound to be something really simply.

I put these skins out on 2 sites and Alain62 is the only one to have said anything... do you all have problems? My guess is that you do.

Does anyone know why this could be happening?
