Subject: Help! New G27... Wed 25 Jun 2014, 6:32 pm
I got a new Logitech G27 yesterday. I've set it up for my favorite sim, Euro Tuck Simulator 2 (ETS2), and it's working perfectly. Not a problem in the world.
Here's where I need a bit of help; a whole lot of help, actually. I've been trying to set the G27 set up for GT Legends. For what it's worth, I do have the Logitech Profiler, but it's not much help, as I can't get it to find the new sim, ETS2. And I realize that GT Legends is an old sim; probably not going to find it. I went to the Logitech G27 forums, and GTL wasn't listed as a recognized sim. That doesn't mean it can't be set up for GTL, right?
I'm just about fed up trying to get it to function properly. For example, on the Controller Settings, Game screen (see pic below), I can't even select 'Toggle AI control ' (which I tried setting earlier with the shifter control), but can no longer highlight for a change back to the keyboard 'I'. Same deal with 'View Labels', 'Reset Car', 'Instant Replay', Pause', and Time Acceleration'.
Note - the four black buttons and the 4 red buttons on the shifter seem to be all the same (i.e. - choose one and they all respond the same way). Haven't tried the HAT yet; suspect that's the same. Bummer!
I'd be grateful for anyone sending me their G27 set-up for GTL.
Right-click and choose 'View Image' for a larger image...

Congrats on your new wheel!
Mine works fine for all the Simbin games. Along with the profiler I would also suggest the G27 Profile for Offline v0_0 by gears.7z; G27Leds v1_01 by fazerbox.zip and/or G27LEDS_199C.zip I've uploaded all 3 for you here to try and I don't know if there is any difference between the 2 LED files. I can't guarantee it will solve your problems but it may.
Also, I only made one mod to my G27 and it was very much worth doing and quite easy as well. It involves lining the interior of the shifter with the hooked side of some Velcro stripping. Takes away the plastic on plastic sound when shifting and it suddenly sounds more like a quality piece instead of cheap plastic. Here's a link showing how to do this here now, in this video the guy says to use the fuzzy side of the Velcro but I found the hooked side to work better myself. Either way will work though

Thanks, but none of that helped at all. I don't give a hoot about the LEDs and the off-line profile didn't tell me anything. What I am is stuck; can't go any further without some hands-on guidance in setting up the G27 wheel for GTL.
Guess I'll return to my black MOMO for GT Legends...

I don't understand why it's not recognizing the wheel in GTL?? Have you tried manually pointing the profiler to it?

Congrats on your G27 MOF m8. Did you install the driver for it first so that it can be recognised?
My G27 is over 3 years old and it works on Windows XP, 7 & 8.

Well, thanks for the hint about a wheel driver. I had thought, since I got no disc with the wheel, that the G27 was a 'plug 'n play'. I did calibrate the wheel in the profiler earlier, but did no good trying to use it prior to to the driver download. Should have known better; didn't even hint at a Plug 'n Play! Went to Logitech (actually, a site name 'Driver Scape') and downloaded:
Driver Version: 5.09.129.0 Release Date: 2010-04-27 File Size: 15.3M Supported OS: Windows XP, Windows Vista 32bit, Windows 7 32bit, Windows 8 32bit
I run Windows XP Pro\SP3, 32-bit.
Seems to have solved one of my two major problems; my sim crashing when loading from the profiler. Had the profiler actuated with the black MOMO from several years ago.
I still have problems with G27 in-sim. Cannot choose to have the H-shifter active; have to use the paddles. There are also flashing yellow and red lights on the Porsche 914-6 (as an example) on the tach gauge that I can't understand. But all the basic functions are there.
Thanks once again...

For the H shifter MOF you need to go back into options and set each gear shift up individually.
Options/Controls/Extra
If it doesn't work at all then you may not have the shifter plugged into the wheel properly.
Hope it works now old chum!

Tried that yesterday, but didn't work; kept getting the same wheel assignment for each gear.
Ahhh, but today....
I did it differently, and put the shifter into position so that the 'choice' line appeared to enter the control function. That did the trick! I now have a 6-position gearshift that's gated!
Thanks for the push to get me experimenting. Appreciated!!! Now for Grand Prix Legends. Then I'll be set....yeah!

Just one other thing MOF.
Always set your Brake pedal up before the gas pedal... there used to be an annoying fault with the drivers from Logitech and the gas pedal didn't reach full speed... don't know if that fault ever got fixed as they are a bit slow on things like that.
