Help needed please

I've been playing GTL for years without incident.  I applied the unlock everything patch many moons ago.

Within the last week my installation of GTL has suddenly decided I only have approximately 2500 credits available and has locked me out of several tracks, some from the original game and some add ons.

I haven't installed any new mods recently which could have screwed with the game play.

I appreciate this isn't much to go on, but has anyone got any ideas how to rectify this?

Did you apply the patch again?

Sometimes a GTL profile becomes corrupted for no apparent reason and you have to make a new one. Usually best to keep a copy of your profile and update the copy occasionally.   

@serpico: this annoyng thing happened to me some time ago. I saved my original profile, deleted it in game (as well the old patch), and made a new profile with the same name. After this, installed again the patch and run the game.
Works! And with all my stuffs preserved.
If you haven't the patch anymore, here you can have it again:

It's actually very easy to make cheat patch for GTL as it contains nothing at all... so simply open your Notepad or WordPad and save it in the GTL folder as 'TG2001.DYN' and it will work.   

Hmmm very strange. I followed the above instructions twice with no effect. The third time bingo, everything unlocked and back to normal. Bizarre.

I need a little help, guys! Did not want to start another thread, so I wanna ask something here. I thought NoGrip is the best place to ask this question... but that site is more dead than I thought and it seems to be! No answer so far there, so I came here too: can someone tell me which line from the .HDC file (I guess in the .HDC file it's present this parameter) belongs and increases the default POWER of the DIFFERENTIAL from the ADVANCED SETUP panel in GTL? I just want to raise the parameter by default so I won't have to go every time I start a race in the AS panel to modify it.

Good question. No idea, but I asume that it's this part of the hdc-file:

DiffPowerRange=(0.1,0.1,10)        // fraction of power-side input torque transferred through diff
DiffPowerSetting=3                // (not implemented for four-wheel drive)
DiffCoastRange=(0.1,0.1,10)        // fraction of coast-side input torque transferred through diff
DiffCoastSetting=3                 // (not implemented for four-wheel drive)

I Looked in some Presets i made (...\GTL\UserData\Pilot\Settings) and im nearly sure its the DiffPowerSetting/DiffCoastSetting-Value you have to change.

Well, 2 of them do... I'm a bit of a thicko with physics I usually leave that stuff to someone else. DeepStrike comes highly recommended

Thanks a lot for your input, guys!  Jeannomiller was right, modifying the DiffPowerSetting line was what I was looking for.
