it's a lot of work, but the advantage of this version is:
everybody can easily create his own league with comparative cars
disadavantage:
you have to know which cars were driven in this league
it's not possible to create every single year of a race 100% correct

That is an impressive list, please test it thoroughly, as it is understood that GTL gets funny with more than 28 classes. Things like showroom errors, and wrong classes in races, that sort of thing.

I personally have 4 installs, but haven't really gone into too much detail with new classes YET.

In the classic trans am series in the over 2.0 litre class 1965-1971 era here in the USA, you had cars such as:
68-71 AMC Javelin
65-68 Mustang Hardtop
65-66 Shelby Mustangs, btw, the hardtops were built by Shelby also
69-70 Boss Mustang with no hoodscoop
67-70 Pontiac Firebird, the Trans Am model didn't come out until 1969
70 Plymouth AAR Cuda
70 Dodge Challenger T/A, not the R/T version. I've got two blueprints of a 1970 Challenger T/A, I would make them myself, but I just got into trying to learn how to do 3d modelling this week.
The Ford Falcon thats already in GTL raced in that era too.
67-71 Chevy Camaro.
67 Mercury Cougar
67-68 Dodge Dart. I have a blueprint for that one also.

I recently download the no-disc version of GTL and I created my own classes.
They followes the CSAI regulations, with the period division, with an additional division for different engine displacement:
Period E : 1947-1961 divided in Touring, GT-Sport up to 2000cc, GT-Sport over 2000cc;
Period F : 1962-1965 divided in Touring (1000, 1600, over 1600cc), GT-Sport up to 2000cc, GT-Sport over 2000cc;
Period G : 1966-1971 divided in Touring (1000, 1600, over 1600cc), GT-Sport-Prototypes up to 2000cc, GT-Sport-Prototypes up to 1967 (over 2000cc), GT-Sport up to 5000cc, Prototypes up to 3000cc;
Period H : 1972-1976 divided in Touring-GT (up to 2000 and over 2000cc), Sport-Protoypes up to 3000cc;
Period I : 1977-1981 divided in Touring-GT (up to 2000 and over 2000cc), Silhouette (Group 5);
Then I created a series of Cup, with some classes merged, for istance Touring Period F-G and Touring Period H-I.
I've tried this classification and it seems to work really good!

I'm working on an update of these classes.
Today I've created the Period E class 1947-1961 (SIM_CUPE) and the first cup.
I did four championship:
Cup_GTSC1 (SIM_GTS1) - GT up to 2000cc (Lotus Elite) This is the place for a future Alfa Giulietta Sprint
Cup_GTSC2 (SIM_GTS2) - GT over 2000cc (Aston Martin DB4 GT, Austin Healey 100S, Ferrari 250 GT SWB, Mercedes 300SL)
Cup_GTSCE (SIM_GTSE) - GT Period E (Aston Martin DB4 GT, Austin Healey 100S, Ferrari 250 GT SWB, Lotus Elite, Mercedes 300SL)
Cup_CUPE (SIM_CUPE) - GTS-TC Period E (Aston Martin DB4 GT, Austin Healey 100S, Ferrari 250 GT SWB, Lotus Elite, Mercedes 300SL, Porsche 550) This last championship is for all the Period E cars, but if in the future somebody would create a Touring car there is the place for Cup_TC1, Cup_TC2 and Cup_TCE...
The next step is Period F-G1 1962-1969 (SIM_CUPF)
