I am so sorry that this car will not be finished. I resect Butch's decision and do still enjoy many of his fine creations. Perhaps someone else will take a look at recrearing these wonderful Cunningham projects some day. Thanks again Butch!
My hopes are still in FF94 aka FFD, who covered Le Mans from 1928 to 1936, and in his last releases gifted us with some LM car from late 30s, maybe will stretch his project to cover the 50s decade. Sadly there are few free 3d models from that age, I found a Lancia D24 (that entered Mille Miglia and Carrera Panamericana) that could be converted to the D20 that ran at Le Mans by adding a roof, and I found a Bristol 450 that some day I hope to bring to GTR2 in my usual poor way.

Good lord I'd love to see that Bristol and Lancia.
Butch had made the model from scratch from what I understand. Probably 100s of hours of meticulous work. He was very gifted. I thing he's doing flight sim stuff now.

And I have the Osca MT4 half done, when I finish some cars, i will try to finish the Osca

TeddyBear, he's a good modder. If I had 10% of his creativity... Once he asked and needed help to finish his very big mod, at least at the time he wanted to finish it. I didn't know how to help him at the time, with the skills I had little I could do, his files seemed very complex to me, with several links, a dark web, with parts from several cars coming from several .gtr files from different places , lol, crazy, only he knew how to find himself in the middle of it all. I hope that one day he will feel encouraged to publish his masterpiece. Hey Bear, if you're reading this, drag the .car file into 3dsimed and export the .gmts and then the textures to a single folder, this makes everything easier (at that time I didn't even know that).

Hey freeracer Thanks for the comments and observations on my poor efforts over the years. Funny you say "if i had 10% of his creativity" Because I was thinking the same for a long time about your work, and long standing contributions to mods and the hobby in general.
Creativity or at least a good imagination and 19x 4TB hard drives of Parts Categorized and a folder with every Tut i ever read, is what i do have.
Sadly i have never been able to learn blender (though not for lack of trying) I even bought Blender for Dummies, which was of no use at all. So if a car does not exist i usually find a way to create one or something passable (ie the Cunningham's made from Cobra's etc)
Regarding the cars i do "Create" You are right to point out that the majority of them are Created using "Parts" from any and every car out there, regardless of who "Owns" them. For this reason over the years i have kept my efforts private, sharing little, or nothing but You Tube Videos, and only then, in the hope of inspiring other to Mod in GTR2,GTL,rfactor etc etc.
Always giving full credits to the original authors of whatever bodyshell i use where possible. BUT as you can imagine, trying to find the original creator of every single part on a car made from 20 to 100 parts is impossible, and i refuse to get into the who owns what debates over SIMBIM or Private modders ownerships.
To me the Joy of Modding and Creating in 3DSIMED, is enough. i left the Forums and sharing mods after my bad experiences at NoGrip Racing and more recently with the great Guys over at Absolute Modding team, who sadly introduced a "Release your Wip's or else" policy so i quit sharing and Chatting since then. Even getting "Banned" at one sad site for not "Sharing" things that did not belong to me! Here at Evolution, I find a mature and experienced environment where the Private "PM's" can be utilised to share with other mature and trusted members like you. So By all means PM me with any requests or ideas.
and finally, i leave my "folders" open because they are quicker and easier to work on or modify, and ive found GTR2 works just as well with the files and textures "loose" as they would packed neatly in the little blu GTR;s etc. but as i don't/share release parts or cars that don't belong to me its not an issue here on my 4 Computers.
Thanks again sorry this is so long
Thanks Again

Nice to meet you old friend.
Thank you for the respectful words, my feeling is mutual.
It is, in fact, sharing things without first asking and receiving permission has always been a dilemma. Sometimes I feel like a pirate. I usually use pieces from other authors, from other games, sometimes an entire car, and expand, create something new from that work... but there is always the risk of hurting someone, and if the owner asks, I make a point of removing the content and apologize.
You welcome. If you need something I can do for you, just pm me.
Cristiano.
