is there a easy way to run GTL and gtr2 on linux operating systems ?

As far as I know - no. If I remember right I found a GTR2 for Linux somewhere a long time ago (PlayOnLinux/Wine ???) but never tested it a smy knowledge is not sophisticated enough.
