Changing tyre brand showing in the setup screen

Hi, I'm trying to locate which file(s) I can edit to show a different tyre brand in the car setup screen. Any help would be appreciated.

It's in the HDC file Tony.

Search for TireBrand= ...it's near the top.

Put the full file name after TireBrand=Dunlop.tyr for instance.

Hi GeeDee, sad to report that the fix didn't work. I checked the .hdc file and did find a line beginning TyreBrand= but it's pointing to a .tyr file. When I replaced the ***.tyr file with my new brand name GTL didn't like and the trace file confirmed that is was my change that screwed things up.

Was the actual tyre file itself in your install. You can name it in the .HDC bit it must also exist in your install preferably in the car mod itself.

Just be sure to make the changes to all sets

these lines are important too in hdc file i think if notes is empty

they allow you to choose the default tyr ai uses... if this case the first one, 1 would be the second one

if the tyr file has all 6 variations...
0=Soft
1=Medium
2=Hard
4=Intermediate
5 =Wet
6=Monsoon
