Please my friend,

To make it easy,

let's just fly over the forest before stepping into the swamp and you'll see that it's not difficult:

- unzip the car from AC rar file to a New folder
- in simed3 import the .kn5 file
- now export all content (export objects) as .gmt to another New folder placed  in gtr2 teams folder (gamedata/teams/carname for sample) *Pay attention not to mess up!
*Don't worry about file names at this stage, use whatever name makes it easier to understand or less work..
- don't close the window, in the export menu/textures, export the textures to this same folder; now you have ALL models and textures in gtr2 Format so lets get It in the game to take a ride
- with geditor35, open the stex.gtr file in your game's team folder, export everything to your new project folder;
For now, prefer to use 3dsimed 2.x from now on, it's more practical to configure materials and small things..
- if you prefer, now import all files, except wheels, mirrors and steering wheel as objects, then apply "explode all", once this is done, export the file as "carname_body.gmt", this makes it easier to create the .cas file
- now just insert an expo-floor.gmt, a shadow/collision.gmt, make the headlights and brakelights, and rename the materials and some textures so the gauges and mirrors can be seen in the cockpit view (with render target) and in the external view (without render target);
- edit a .cas file, use another as sample, assembling your car parts..
- take physics files from a similar car, edit weight, drag coefficient and weight transfer in .hdc, rename fields corresponding to filenames damage.dmg, tire.tyr, suspension.sp, engine.eng and gearbox.grb ;
- edit the torque curve from the eng file and gear ratios from the .grb;
- create a .car file, edit whatever is necessary, type the name of .cas, .hdc, and .aud
- drag the .car into 3dsimed, check if there are no objects or textures missing in the "data reports" menu, adjust the shaders to the gtr2 name and material configuration defaults (indicating all the textures, the cubemaps, or emaps that you previus exported from stex. gtr), export everything in gmt to the folder
*In this step, do not use usual names for texture files or materials, for example "lights" material and/or "lights" texture, rename both to "car_name_lighs" or gtr2 will mix the textures of one car with another on the same grid.
- test in game, first enable trace file..

If you guys want a detailed tutorial on how to place any 3d model in the quickest and easiest way in gtr2, let me know.

I would like to have the Fiat 124 and Fiat 125 in GTR2, but I'm not sure that I can manage it all. I've never done it before.
Especially the points to create the files xyz, I just can't do that.

besides many other things that I don't know how to do, I also don't understand the "xyz" of the .sp files (suspensions) and every time I try to edit it something shit happens, and that doesn't mean I stop making cars

try it and let's see what happens, I'll help you

you should try a tool called physics editor,
basicly it is an app to show the suspension and edit the SP file

you see your changes as you do

As far as I remember Content Manager has to be uninstalled first.
Cars don't load with Content Manager installed.
