Really jaenno? Wiki says 1952 but im really no Jazz-Specialist. If you are deeper in this Matter, I will trust you more than Wiki. But i was exited by this Idea, that WHIPCRACKER makes his first Cry while Charlie lets scream his Sax to the Audience.

Nothing against your idea, mate, but Youtube says in the description of the video: Recorded early 1951 at Rockland Palace Dance Hall, New York. No distinction is made to which tracks Roach and Haynes plays on.
Maybe there's a mistake on one side ...
I like Jazz, but I'm absolutely not in this matter

Hey Guys!
Gonzaga:
House is difficult for me. Im more in Bum Chak Bumchak instead of umph umph umph. But no critics. Both give us Brilliant Pieces of Music and also a lot of Trash. My favourits i find most in Drum'nBass and Breakbeats tracks from the End of 90s and early 2000s like this
You must hear the Album "Modus Operandi" from this Guy on of my Top 3 Records.
Well Known as the Club Szene Soundtrack from the 1st Blade Movie.
To Jaenno and WHIPCRACKER:
I look on Allmusic Webpage. It says 1952 (yippie)
Here the Protagonists:
Charlie Parker - alto sax Bud Powell - piano Wardell Gray - tenor sax Charlie Mingus - bass Max Roach and Roy Haynes - drums
Wow, what a cast.
To framroze:
Yes, Miles Davis. One of the Greatest. Very Impressive which evolution Jazz goes over the Decades. Heres something from the last Decade:
There are Great Jazz Acts from Poland and the Balticum and northern Europe in the Last Decades.
To Butch!
Tears for Fears and Motörhead. Butch, you are open for everything. Not false. You can find Good Music in every Genre. But not everyone is open for everything. Guy, we surf the same Wave.
Scool Stuff, but Phenomenal. Its Faszinating, that Most of the Pictures this Music describes doesent exist today. All we have is the Music. The First one, "The Gnome" is my favourite.
PJ Harvey - Rid of Me another favourite. Everyone Says Madonna is the Princess of Image-Changing. But PJ is the Queen. Image Changing is the Wrong Word. Its more that she change her Personality like a great Method Actor. I post the Link because you MUST hear the Whole Album.
Greetings Muddie

Now to something different!
In my youth (late 80s early 90s) i was a Metalhead. Listen to Bands like Testament, Megadeath, Anthrax and so on. I head my crew with same Music interests. But Time goes by and i opened my Mind to the whole World of Music, but this old School Thrash Metal like Testament and Early Metallica and all the others were frequently Part of my Life. Now i met a Guy from this early Years after 25 Years again. He offered to me, that he is Drummer in a Band and the have published their first EP. ( I must say, they were some Metal Bands in my youth and all of them were Bad, Funny but Bad and they never Published something than Low Quality Music Cassettes.) I go on Youtube. Searched and found and was Surprised. Its really Powerfull. Listen:
Really good Stuff, isnt it? I was on a Live Concert a few Weeks Ago. Met some more Guys from this Time and it was a Great Night.

Right now I am listening to some Barb Wire Dolls. A Greek punk band that plays all around the USA. I discovered them one day when Phil Campbell (Motorhead) tweated about their new album release - the first band Lemmy signed to his label.

My dear friend Muddie! First of all, thanks for your kindness, bringing to us some treasures of my 20s. This Joe Cocker's music, for me, is one of the top ten of this crazy and very nice time!

I read somewhere that they are pioneers in the "industrial" style, and source of inspiration for several bands (like Ministry and Rammstein, for instance).

Hey Freeracer
You make me Curious and i surved a little bit through Google and Wiki for further Information. In 1980 Die Krupps was Founded. In 1981 the Band Published the Album "Wahre Arbeit-Wahrer Lohn" in English "True work - True reward" which was an essential influence for the rising of the Music-Genre "EBM"
Heres a helpful Graphic: Title : Graphical Presentation of Development Stages (sorry its in German)
Further Influence from EBM on Techno, Goa-Tance, Industrial Rock and (my own opinion) Drum & Bass
On my Surf i stumble over a few freaky Tracks.
BTW: The Experts call Die Krupps a "Post-Industrial"-Band.
Something Different from Die Krupps
Thats wat the experts call Industrial
Another Post-Industrial Band. Einstürzende Neubauten(Collapsing New Buildings) Dont need to hear the whole Track. Its really borderlined. Nice anecdote to this Band. I dont know if its an urben Legend or if its true: You know the Track "People are People" from Depeche Mode. Its called, that the Industrial sounds you hear at the Beginning of this Song are Original from Einstürzende Neubauten and was something like Stolen by Depeche Mode for this Song. Some Copyright Stuff. If i remember right was there an accusation from E.N. which goes to a Court. Dont know how it ends.

At last a Track from Rammstein you may not know. Seeman = Sailor
Very Poethic and Melancholic. My favourite Rammstein Song.
