Curbs like gravel?!?

Hi everyone!
I've got a small problem with my GTR2 install: On every track I drive, the curbs act like they were gravel!
I actually don't know what to do, I already copied the specialfx.tec out of another installation, but it had no effect...
Is there somebody knowing this issue or can someone send me the original specialfx.tec to give it a try?
