Just found a surprise on the side of GTR4u, the next at the start. Team21 and friends work at the Pontiac Firebird. He looks damn good. Again, it is worth now and then use the following link:

A few weeks ago pictures were shown at Nogrip. Since you could only speculate that the Firebird comes perhaps. But now Cooky has made it official.

Great sounds indeed but where there any Lions or Tigers or any other big cats hurt in the making of the sounds?

Why choose that little country track to test such a car ??? It seems superb as all the other cars are.

The original car is used for hillclimbing-tracks as well as quartermile drag-racing and was seen as well at several classical events - where it usually catches all other cars, even the Porsche 935. There are no real competitors for it, as it is a very modern car with an 496cui Aluminium Big Block by Butler Engineering, so it does not make sense to put it together at races with the classical GTL cars. There will be another physics with a Small Block for a Trans Am-version of the Bird, that can play with the Mercury and the Boss and the other american V8-cars - but this one is outstanding and in fact only usable for single drives. It has a very unique physics that is especially for difficult, bumpy tracks with elevations and tricky, narrow corners. Due to it´s extreme power with 860nm at 4000rpm you can drive it with very low revs as well as up to 8000rpm. This "little country track" is one of the most sophisticated tracks in GTL - if a car performs perfect at it, it is pure fun everywhere.
As you can see here, the original likes those narrow county-tracks as well... Look at the two fat black stripes it puts to the street at low rev.

Thanks for the explanation about the track and I think that it must be very difficult to drive such a "big" car on Hillclimb roads even if the torque is at very low revs .That reminds me of Tuerlinx or Grauls who knew how to tame big blocks.

Very nice! Be nice to have the detuned version for the Trans Am GTL loading and the orig. aluminum big block car for my Muscle Car loading; need some street skins though. Very cool!

The Firebird has risen up in the air. He has been released today on Nogrip and Altbierbude.
Uuup's. Had not seen that MOF had already made known.

I got my copy of the mod from Altbierbude, so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the 'classes=' line was altered. I know I altered mine just a bit, to include ', SIM_GTC76,' which was necessary for me to see what class the car was in, when viewing the cars in the showroom\garage.
But I really don't know...take that wag (wild-a$$ guess) with a grain of salt.

I have not looked into it (the V1.01), but in the rollout at the Bude yesterday it turned out, that the relations between inside and outside sound were too different as well as some problems with different loading LOD´s. I think, those were fixed. Not sure if there was a renaming of the materials that caused stripes at some tracks...
