Subject: GTL Rally/Hillclimb car, need help with physics Wed 12 Jun 2013, 1:39 pm
Im working on a Fictional Rally/Hillclimb car based on the Lotus Elite. Just for fun. So far, I worked on the handling/specs. My question is, can someone build a Lotus Elite with a wide bodykit and rear wing for me? I have no experience what so ever with changing physics. Thank you in advance!
specs: 200hp/300nm max. 9000rpm. 800kg 4wd close ratio gearbox topspeed: 200km/h

It sounds to me like you are actually asking someone to build the whole car for you and do the physics also... evrything... have you any idea how many months or years work it entails for someone who knows what they are doing?
Has any body out there got time to make a one off special for this guy????

actaully what he is requiring i think its not a whole new model. By adding removing objects and shaping meshes and faces u can achieve that. Its not sci fi,ive seen it happen made at least by 2 very talented people. Me personally i can not do it very well, the only thing i manage was from a certain private camaro join a big rear wing to make the 81 le mans camaro and it aint finished yet. So what he is asking, yes its possible, but requires talent above my knowledge. If you got a car u can make the widebody version of that car using the techinques above mentioned but u have to be talented and have fiting parts from other models to match.
However if i'm wrong and what ur asking is for a brand new car from scratch i d just say ... good luck....

Your physics seem good and the car fun to drive .Keep it as it is .If you want a monster tuned for Pike's Peak go to GTR2 and get a car of that sort,it will drive in GTL without problem.

I'm not asking for a brand new car design, but to edit the existing Lotus Elite and add a wide bodykit and rearwing if possible.

I understand more now but it is still a whole lot of work that I'm not able to do either. Your car on the videos appear to handle very well though and a good starting point for someone capable and interested.

theicewarrior - Adding a rear wing is piece of cake, but you're gonna need a 3d artist for the body kit, someone who can model a car. As far as I know, there are only a few people with such ability throughout the scene and they're usually busy with their own projects.

If someone can help me with a rear wing first, it would be great!
