Free Maserati Tipo 151/3 model!

I thought I should bring this to the attention of the community here;

It seems to be a Maserati Tipo 151/3 from 1964. I have downloaded it and opened it in 3dSimed. Unfortunately it needs work beyond my limited skills to get it running in GTL, but a more skilful modder might be able to make a spectacular car out of this.

Good find, thanks for letting us know about it.

Had a look and unfortunately, I don't think it's working for GTL. The car seems to be very high poly, maybe a try for newer games like AC, pCARS etc. But maybe not for those games either as it seems to be kinda messy (there seem to be 2 bodies, some parts are out of place etc), no cockpit, no textures etc.

On the countrary, I believe it's doable. It's just going to take a lot of time. The .3ds feels heavy, but once you extract it, the single .gmts are way lighter than they may seem.



Repositioning the misplaced objects or renaming them is the easiest part, problem is the lack of textures whatsoever. I could slowly put it ingame, but without textures it's not going to look pretty.

Hello, just to let you guys know, now that I have some more free time, I started working on this car.
Currently, most of the parts have been realigned with the main body already (though they still need some extra fine tuning for the proper placement of some) and later this evening a friend of mine will start remapping the entire car for me so that I can start texturing it properly. Don't know how long it'll take, but it's doable.



It's missing cockpit and original tires are of no use, but some Frankestein work using Tipo 60/61 parts will suffice for that.

Looking forward to Goodwood with this!

you mean the Pizzavan? xD is it a Leo models 1/43? If yes I thought about buying the same one but went for the Tipo 61 Drogo instead...

Perhaps, but I have other projects to take care of first and this with all the amount of work required for it, is quite low on my priority list. And if that wasn't enough, I work 10 hours shifts almost everyday. The pay is good, but the free time left? Not so much.

You're right, mate. Free time is gold nowaday. I had the same problem four years ago, a very good pay but almost no time for me and my beloved ones. Therefore I chose a happy degrowth:   I cut many idle expenses and all the things that weren't worth my time and my happiness, now I work part-time and spent my free time with my almost-wife and, hopefully, I'll have more time for my children, whose education is more and more fundamental in a crazy world like this, and I don't want to let it to TV/Internet and so on.
