| Watching this (and Borek's progress over at NG) has me SO stoked about a mid-60s's F1 mod.
I'd be hard pressed to pick a favourite car - but I have to say, those Weslake Eagle Mk 1s are like works of art ....
Thanks for this projects, and the update thread!

| You're welcome delta_lima and thanks for the thanks. Well my Favourite is the Eagle T1G which I used to drive almost exclusively in GPL. Such a pretty car........ Borek also has a really nice thread about his T73 over at F1 Classic - you should check that out too - some of the posts from the other guys are really interesting and informative ! I think I might make another post soon with updated pictures as to the progress of this 67 conversion. Like I said before, most of the work now is physics related but I have been working on the icons and biks as well as the cockpit drivers. As to posting pics - the best I can do is attachments, so I hope that is ok with everyone. | |

| So as to progress : BT20 - needs it's own physics yet BT24 - I'm pretty happy with, unless deep-strike convinces me otherwise (he is a perfectionist !) that one is done BRM P83 - Done - could still do with some tweaking though Cooper T81B - needs physics Eagles & Mclaren M5A - needs physics Ferrari 66 & 67 - needs physics and work on the cockpit (the least done) Honda RA300 - Done but I reserve that statement depending on deep-strike Lotus 43 - almost done Lotus 49 - I'm happy but is deep-strike ?! All cars still need adjustment to the cockpit driver - arm positioning and legs. When the Mod is finished I can say, that the cockpit drivers will NOT be perfect. Sorry about that but I will do my best - the ones I have been currently working on aren't too bad but I can't get them perfect unless I was to model new drivers - not going to happen for this conversion - maybe never in my life because I can't model - not even on a catwalk

| Hi DBR, Yes totally agree, SlimJim and Co did a fantastic job on the cars for our 'fantasy world' and well the best I've seen in real life is on video and pictures unfortunately. Would love to see any of them in real life especially the Eagle, being an Aussie I really should show some allegiance to the Brabham but that Eagle just does things to me inside and out ! | |

| Two months is hardly a wait for a mod that promises to be this good!
LE, have you even been to a vintage racing event? If you ever get the chance you should, especially being in Australia where the Tasman series used to run. I go to the Watkins Glen event just about every year with my dad and his car. It's a great way to see my favorite GTL cars up close and personal.

I've had rFactor for over 5 years but I have played it less than 20 hours... I don't like the comic strip graphics that spoil the cars tracks and anything else and also the physics don't feel that good and I hate the menu's on it. Apart from that there's nothing wrong with it! Well, well, echoes of my own sentiments - I can't abide its menu system at all...just can't get into it in fact - awesome amount of content for sure but I'll stick with GTL. I am very interested in rFactor 2 though, which shows a lot of promise. - DBR wrote:

No, I'm over on the forgotten west coast and the best I've managed is the odd car show. No F1's from the 60's though, mostly GT cars and lots of Aussie muscle !!

| Thanks LE. It's too bad there are no tracks near you, but there's always someday. In truth it's probably for the best though. If there were a track near you, the mod would never get finished! | |
