| Which is the Eagle Mk 1 ? Does it have a T1 designation ? Is it just the T1 ? I ask because there is a T1F in the 67 Mod which is an early 67 maybe carried over from 66. The T1G is the 67 - thats my limited understanding. They are BOTH in the 67 mod. | |

They are BOTH in the 67 mod. Awesome, LE! Not having either rFactor or the 67' mod, I didn't know what the carset(s) was. But yes, we're speaking of the same car. I'm so stoked .... Cheers, DL

| Coopers look fantastic LE! Have you heard of 3D printing? Maybe once you're done you could 3D print yourself an Eagle T1, though I don't know if it's legal under Aussie road laws. | |

| That is a good link, thanks tipo66 ! Yes, this conversion is straight from rFactor. I have seen the GTR2 conversion but I feel that the original rFactor is a better source. I also think that the GTR2 conversion used an earlier version of SlimJims mod. | |

| Just a question - likely LE, who's been on the NG forum, might now the answer, but since that thread was a bit "charged", I thought I'd ask here:
Is this project related to Boreks project? On the one hand, I see talk of unique bodies - like the Eagle, etc - but on the NG thread, Borek seems to be saying it's one main car body painted/modified to resemble the different manufacturers ...
Sorry if it's a dumb question - just trying to understand.
Thanks,
DL | |

| Well good question and in a way yes but this is completely different. Boreks is as he says completely scratch built by himself and this one is a conversion of SlimJims rFactor 67 mod to GTL. The way that these are 'connected' is through the fact that Borek and I are working together on things. He is the brilliant modeler / skinner and I am his 'padawan' in modding I hope this clears things up for you DL Of course these things can't be voiced over at NG. | |

| Aahh...perfectly clear now.
Yes, the sensitivities are understandable.
All this mid 60s GP goodness is wonderful to watch unfold - will wait happily to see it grow.
Many kind thanks for the reply.

| @DL - no worries mate I've been having a bit of a break with things these last few days - had the flu but rest assured progress continues. deep-strike is still busily working on the physics - doing a fine job and has the Coopers now. Just not too much new to show at the moment....

| No worries - it's a gift, it's being lovingly researched - it'll be worth the wait. I shed my impatience years ago ... as a young platoon commander, on patrol, night after night in the mud and cold and rain .... puts the "waiting" game into perspective ... I wish I could do more than cheer you lot on - but at least you can count on that! DL | |

Did I understand you right you have multiple installs of GTL??? How did you do it and how well does it work, any issues? I ask because I have thought of trying this myself. Any hints or tips would be most appreciated.
Thanks VR

Multiple installs of GTL or GTR2 or rFactor are very simple to do. If your normal install is called GTL, then when you want to make a new install call the mainfolder something like GTL Mods and the next install call it something else. That's it!!! I have been doing this with 100% success for years now. Gee .

| Or just have them in different places on your 'puter. I've got about 7 hard drives in my machine so this is not a problem Also get the no-cd crack.... One other great hint is to use Nappe1 's 'GTL car tool' to turn car slots on and off at will. Its available on nogrip. | |

| I use Xcars, and it too allows you to create (and save) individualised profiles. I created a "GTC 1964" - basically the stock GTC 65 with a few extra cars from the period, but without the GT40. I've created another LeMans 1970, which brings in only the 917, Lola, etc.
Better than fiddling with classes, at least for my way of working.
Back to the topic, I saw Borek was banned from NG - WT..? I hope that get's sorted ...
Anyway - hope you're feeling better LE!

| Another easy way of sorting your car classes is to put those not in use in a special folder in the Main GTL folder... maybe call the folder 'Cars not in use'. When you want to use them just shift back the mod/class folders you need. | |

Thank you for your praise LE. Yes, I work diligently on the physics of the Cooper. I hope that in the coming days, the advance version is ready. Maybe it is the finished version, who knows.

| Thanks for the tips guys. I was using X-cars on my old computer with over 750 cars, but had some ctds. Good to know multiple installs will work.
I feel your pain LE, I spent part of Nov and most of Dec down with the Flu. It seems this years version is really tough. Hope you get well soon.
