BMW 2002 from the Retro Expansion Pack

any news for this mod?

I second that question. I quite like this version of the 2002 because it is so pure, not too many plastic goodies glued or stuck on it. Great looking car !
Would be fantastic if it were released some day.

It will be released one day. Just a bit too busy to work on it now as I need to be fully concentrated on it to do something good. The last time I worked on it with being completely dedicated resulted in a big mess that took a long long time to fix... So, please, be patient. When I'll have a long enough period of time that allows me to work on it, I'll continue it, and I hope, finish it as well...

For the moment, I can just release easy stuff that can be done in a couple of hours or during an idle weekend.

Thx for your answer Kikoya. No hurry of course. I was just wondering. Let's say: it's ready for release when it's ready for release.

Any news for this mod. I hope, this projekt isn't dead.

I am currently working on two other projects, one that is nearly done, and one that may take a bit more time. After those are finished, I'll go back to this one...

I need the will to finish it, and the time. Two years ago I said I had two projects that needed to be finished. One was the Alpine, the other the R12 Gordini. It can take me more than a year to release a mod that I consider "complete".

For the 2002, I will not take the pain to make as many historic skins as with the two other mods cited above. I'll certainly release it with a few fictional skins and leave the rest to those who want to improve it.

Yes I agree just get the mod straight, skins can be made any time

I have been sorting through all the 2002 mods this is the only one I like most look good when looking at the skins but in game not so good and lack detail.

For me there are 2 good 02 mod's. One is this one, the other is the one from BLT. It's not officially out yet, but I can say that you don't have so many variants of an 02 in any other BMW 02 mod.

There's another project going on by me making BMW 1600 Ti out of the BYL's yet to be released BMW 1602 Group 2. My variation will focus the 1600cc car before 1971 facelift and name change from 1600-2 to 1602. Physics are calibrated to be 1970 ETCC cars run by Alpina.

And this one is done purely only for GT Legends.

I have had policy not releasing own variations for material which is still wip in BYL team, but now it seems that the original BYL team has been in sleep so long that some or most of the members see it as dead as dodo. So, I decided to start doing needed modifications to version in which it stopped about 4 years ago. The physics (done by me and gravin) for 1600 TI have been waiting now over 4 years, so maybe it has become time to finalize it.

I'm just curious but when you say 1600 TI, do you mean only the two-door, or also the four-door 'berlina'? I know someone was once working on the four door 1600 TI/SA but the project was ultimately canned.
