ok, about the Ferrari one more time yet: Ive noticed some of the P4 cars had an interesting mirror shape (mirror aerodynamic covers), so Ive added such body style into our mod aswell

so, here we go, the new 330 P4, Le Mans 1967 skin.

Nice catch, I wonder how effective those mirrors were. Looks great!

ok, this time some another kind of special stuff.
are you crying for rainy effects at GTL? well, this game doesnt simulate rain weather comparing to GTR2, but we can use same incar windshield rain drop effect feature at least.

check the two images bellow. they use same ingame working rain animation.
originaly I did the 3d wipers animated aswell, but the result wasnt so good as I wish. too much work I spent with it and it caused a poor effect. so, the frame-by-frame animation would be used for our LMC virtual cpit windows only.  

I didnt used the GTR2 default SimBin raindrop effect texture, but this anim GIF source. I find it bit more closer to my loved Le Mans movie rainy scenes.

anyway, because the GTL car rainscreen instance doesnt work, it is set to dirtscreen instance, which is supported. this means the animated raindrop windshield must be selectable as optional car feature. if not, you would see the rain drops permanently... but this solves for us the current car genstring code logic

ok, here is a quick made ingame videorecord, presenting the simple frame-by-frame texture animation.
sorry for the video quality, its just taken with my smartphone watching the lcd monitor.

as to the GTL rainy effect, its identical to the video above, it just runs immediatelly when the car is loaded into pitbox room.

as to GTL wet tracks, I am not any track maker, but with replacing a sky, adding emap on the road surface could fake the rainy racing closer. if the track surface can be set bit more skdiddy I dunno, but it could be solved with tyre file.

however, still the regular rainy racing is possible just with GTR2 only.

ok, this time something else. deep-strike asked me how would be time consuming to add to our cars some own showroom style.
well, actually not too much, because I did some such stuff already.
took me a few hours to port it into GTR2 and GTL only.

I do not garantee right this will be included in the public release, just sharing the first test images.

well, I did it this way - the Le Mans Classics cars GTR2 rain screen instance is now various styles, which are interchangable with a genstring code at current car file, where:

GTR2 (regular RAINSCREEN instance)
* rain drops style 1 is the downwards animation
* rain drops style 2 is the upwards animation
* rain drops style 3 is the common SimBin animation

GT Legends (a DIRT SCREEN instance)
* rain drops style 0 is a clean windshield without any dops
* rain drops style 1 is the downwards animation
* rain drops style 2 is the upwards animation
* rain drops style 3 is the GTR2 common SimBin animation

I am not sure which style to set as default for the GTR2 LMC cars sofar.
a car style 0 will be set as default for the GTL LMC cars.

in another words, to see the current rain effect would be up to the user. some kind of the "how-to" will be desribed at some readme file, included in the public relase pack.

btw, I look forward to see / to read, how people will start asking why they cant see the raindrop effect, which are presented at the screenshots and videorecords... oh yeah, no reading, no raining
