yes, the first post of this thread says the Chap should be the bonus model
well, lets talk about the LeMans Classics (LMC) mod cars deeper a bit...
LE MANS CLASSICS mod main car list: there is Ferrari 330P3/4, 330P4 and 412P, Ford Mark.IV, Porsche 907K, 907L, 908K, 908L, 917K and 917L.
each car type have its own unique physics. the Ferraris differs (slightly) visualy, its not about a skin only (as it was originally supposed to be, based on the original mesh model made by tsf2).
the Porsches started originally as a tweaked model of the RookieOfTheMans lowpoly 908LH car add-on for F1C game, but basicaly they are scratch made models now cockpits are a pure scratch work.
the Ford Mark.IV visual model is a "bit" remodeled mesh, still the original model for F1C game by Marco F. didnt needed too much rework. anyway cockpit is a pure scratch work.
LE MANS CLASSICS mod bonus car list: first of all, there is nothing confirmed... however, the most close to any finish stage is the Howmet TX bonus car, when speaking about the car physics and soundset, made be deep-strike. still the model is the F1C original sofar, just with a new skins and wheels. the cockpit is a pure scratch work, again, unfinished.
the Chaparral 2F is made completely from scratch and currently the external model exists only, yet infinished. anyway deep-strike did some bit of work on the car physics already.
the Alpine and Alfa exist only as the F1C external model just with a new skins and wheels sofar. anyway deep-strike did some bit of work on the car physics already.
needs to know we got permissions byt Marco F. to use for our modding ALL / ANY of his cars (made originaly for F1C game), so its a big lure to choose one of his models for the bonus cars.
finally, when speaking about any future add-on cars from our kitchen, needs to know one relatively important thing yet. the GTL/GTR2 mod development is not the only work I am bothering when hobby time. I am also active at fligthsim scene for example, did released a few airplane add-ons in a latest year and a few others is wip. you may check this site for more: http://simhangar.nolimit.cz/
in another words, there is gonna be hard to set the current project development priorities
our goal now is to finish the LMC main mod. the bonus car future just isnt set in stone....

thanks mate. hopefully we manage to finish it finally into some public release.
to be honest, very often, seems to me, is the Alpine asked at threads and not only by french sim players, so we really should take bit more attention to such bonus car maybe

Because we all have those cars already (or at least, what I personally downloaded was made in 2010/12 and included your entire car list and then some) with race by race updates and liveries, but the Alpine is the only one that was never touched since SCGT for some reason. Neither the Longtail A210 nor all the others around that (M64, A220, etc).

yeah, we getting the LMC main car types exists as add-on cars already, wondering too why it isn't same case of the Alpines, for example, because all they coming usually from F1C mods. all they was same "art" level.
anyway, our cars are basically new ones, each made with a big attention to all aspects. also they are noy any stolen cars ripped from commercial games.
however our Alpine A220 is totally same GMT as the original one, sofar.

In my opinion I would shift my focus on the Alpine after the main cars are released, so could see some of the most beautiful french engeneering. (With next to none experience of modding, except skinning and "engine swapping", I can't tell what amount of work it would take to take the Alpine to the level, where the Caparral is right now, so no big offense please ) Furthermore, Alpine as a brand could be explored more with cars like the A220 V8 Shorttail, the A210 1,3L Le Mans car or the A350 Gordini F1 car (would be a great addition to the F1 1967 mod btw.). A little off topic now but, Borek, are you czech? If yes then: Dobrý den Also: the Me163 you did for CFS3 is very high-quality and wonderful to fly!

well, it starts to be interesting, the A220 would be hot favorite. the short tailed version could be made aswell. as for the visuals I can be very quick, however the physics can take a very very long time.
btw, I lack any decent A220 cockpit photos, one or two only with poor quality are found by Mr. Google, and flicker didnt helped too. would need to use some user taken photos.
as to the little of topic part: oh yes, we are neighbors it seems, I am living in Prague city;) usually I am not writing it at public thread profiles, because non-european people (usually) very often counfouding it with a very differnt places, just similar named
glad you like the Komet, mate its like the LMC cars. a very old lowpoly model, which Ive made more then 14 years back, with interior, texture and physics updates, finished a year back Me 163 development history here.

Aren't these good enough at least for references?

And an onboard video (not clear shot, but good sounds):
And a 2nd video that goes inside the cockpit close to the dashboard:
If you make both short and long tail versions, I could help you painting all the liveries race by race.
Then, it would miss the M63, M64 and A210 and that would be all of the Alpines of the time.

well, the first image says bit more... the tacho is indentificable at least thanks mate. hower, the blurry gauges looks similar to A110 gauges, so this could be enough to know.
btw, funny, how the gauge sets (and not only that), differs when comparing the other cpit images. but thats the life... needs also to avoid of cpit development mistakes when watching the modernised instrument panel variant at the video footage.

Things can differ for a variety of reasons.
Even Porsches 956s and 962s nowadays are hard to find with their original dashboards because most where changed during restorations over the course of the years. Perhaps this is a similar situation.
But in the case of Alpines, they never entered two consecutive races with the same car(s). There were always some updates. A220 alone changed at least 4 times in 2 years, and the very first chassis wasn't even an A220 to begin with, but a test mule built on the base of the A210 simply dubbed A211.
Some parts were shared among all cars and, if I recall correctly, some remnants of the M63s were still used on the last A222s, before they retired in '69 and came back in '74 with the A441.
I'd say, go with the 5-gauges solution which is last iteration of the car, in period as of '69. If current owners then added Motecs and digital displays all over the dashboard, it's not our business afterall, aye?

It really is wonderful! Sad it never raced in Le Mans, though. All I can recall it racing in is either the "Tour de France l'Automobile" or the "Giro d'Italia Automobilistica", not sure which one.
EDIT: The race I ment was the 1969 Criterium de Cevennes, same race format, diffrent event

the A220 shortail would be simply our common LMC related side project add-on car development, just like it happens with all our Porsches example: we offer to player with the current LMC mod finalisation the Porsche 917L from 1969 Le Mans, but also the Porsche 917K from 1969 Spa or 1969 Zeltweg race events.
in another words, the LMC mod player would not to be strictly sticky with longtails for stright tracks, but he can try to race some curvy (snaky) track aswell, where right the shortails are much suitable

some after month news:
the LMC mod for GTL is everything done but Porsche final textures / skins. I am busy with another stuff, non simrace related, also none seems is somehow deeply crying for the mod public release here, so I dont care about the mod finalisation to much now.
deep-strike is currently in contact with David from GTLW, relating to the LMC for Power and Glory version. it might solve also our LMC mod for GTR2 case. will see.
