Mapping the small hole where the fuel cap should be is a waste of time, nothing is going to go around there anyway.

Oh, NO, couldn't be more wrong! I want to place there a roundel (white background) for the racing number! Or maybe... something. So, please, if you can do something about it, map those polygons too. You can find them in the CAP_FUEL_STYLE0. Just copy them to the BODY again and map them too, I'll separate them again afterwards. By default, there is the CAP FUEL, but I wanted to create some diversity and add a clean version of the bonnet too - without a cap fuel, so I mirrored the left area and pasted the bits there to fill the gap after I got rid of the fuel cap.

Yeah, the finless shortnose D-Type was in works long time ago. Vintage Racer did few nice skins for the mod. Did not manage to finish and release it 'cause my old HDD failed... and stayed like that since then. I'll have to start that mod from scratch again. Just got busy with some other cars, but still on the list. I have to revisit all of earlier work - wasn't the best job. I'm just switching from a mod to another, working on the Fiat Dino Coupe, 1953-55 Corvette (anybody knows if jd is around anymore or can contact him and ask him about the hardtop for the 1953 Corvette??), have to revisit the 550 Spyder too - still no proper historic wheels for that mod etc etc. The next few years are busy...

Shouldn't have cut a giant hole to begin with then.

The black areas will default to whatever the mainbody colour is. Anyway, the car is now mapped.
I've learned how to do shadows, but I'm not going to use them here. The body is too high poly and each time I need to bake them or change some settings it needs to render everything again, and it either takes too much time or it crashes outright.

The title's a bit cryptic as its a reference to a Ford marketing slogan used at the time.
Things have stalled out right now, I haven't done anything mod related for a few weeks but I'm hoping to get things going again soon.
Just need the opportunity and some motivation...

Enough pre-Group 6-era Le Mans racing cars have been made that any omission as notable as this one feels pretty major. Even if it never lived up to its potential, I'd love to see what it could do against the GTOs and E-Types of Le Mans '62-'63 if it hadn't kept breaking down. (It seems like every Le Mans car DNF'd for completely different reasons: engine, suspension, gearbox, electrics, and a one-car spinout accident.)

That 151 is not usable. Not without heavy reworking. Maybe in 4 or 5 years I'll find the time to look into it again, but it's currently too heavy, not mapped and not scaled.
